The Wordle Postgame Report is a brief analysis of a game of Wordle, the five-letter-word guessing game now owned by the New York Times. If you do not play Wordle, Indignity encourages you to please skip this item. The existence of the Wordle Postgame Report does not constitute an endorsement of playing Wordle, of not playing Wordle, or of the New York Times.
THE LAST THING I did before sitting down to Wordle was to tell the younger kid to take out the trash, so I opened with CHORE, and got all gray. PLAIN got a green LA and a yellow N, which meant that unless the answer somehow opened with NL-, the N would have to go in the fourth spot: _ L A N _. Obviously the word to play was GLAND, edging out FLANK. The -LAND was right, but the G stayed gray. The answer was some less good word than GLAND, then. BLAND: yes it was, and yes it was.
The Wordle Postgame Report will be posted semi-regularly on the website of the Indignity newsletter, or possibly even daily if people turn out to want to read it.
