The Wordle Postgame Report is a brief analysis of a game of Wordle, the five-letter-word guessing game now owned by the New York Times. PLAYING AN L early worked yesterday, so I repeated the move with LOWER. No success with the L this second game, but the W and E were yellow. Moving them all the way apart, with WHITE, doubled the number of letters found: a pair of yellows, on the W and T, and a pair of greens, on the I and E. I could see only two ways for the game to go: a C, or an N. I'd thought of the C before the N, and I liked the word better, so I played that one. TWICE was right; I didn't need to guess another time.
The Wordle Postgame Report will be posted semi-regularly on the website of the Indignity newsletter, or possibly even daily if people turn out to want to read it.
