The Wordle Postgame Report is a brief analysis of a game of Wordle, the five-letter-word guessing game now owned by the New York Times. SOMETIMES LUCK DOESN’T show up right away. SHRED got a yellow R and a green E. FLIER placed the R correctly, but added no other letters to the mix. So there were two green letters, but they were part of _ _ _ E R. It could have been anything—or not quite anything. The earlier words had knocked out any possibilities with -DER or -SER. So it looked like a chute, but it didn't feel like one quite yet. I played POWER: green P, green O, green E, green R. Other people in the Wordle chat would be going bust, falling off the bottom of the screen. I just needed to draw one more: K, for POKER, a flush of green. Luck of the draw.
The Wordle Postgame Report will be posted semi-regularly on the website of the Indignity newsletter, or possibly even daily if people turn out to want to read it.
