I've stuck around despite the Nazis (by any other name, they smell as foul), but I'm glad I won't need to anymore. I hope the transition doesn't cause you too much pain.
This is the content I crave. Couple months left in my sub and routing payment around Adolf Hamish's little toll gate a second time was always gonna be annoying.
"it was a new kind of depressing last month to see Substack proudly promoting its first-ever documentary film presentation, an adaptation of the book The Coddling of the American Mind, by Greg Lukianoff and Jonathan Haidt."
I'm struggling to think of a worse, less interesting topic for a movie:
-it will be a series of talking heads shots of the rogues gallery of "Free" "speech" drones, all saying essentially the same thing as each other
-being as generous as I possibly can, none of the subject matter these people focus on is visually interesting, nor can it be made visually interesting...
-...which doesn't necessarily mean they wont try, which means we may get to see re-enactments of the 5 anecdotes they've hung all this horseshit on for the last 8 years, which I firmly believe will be hilarious
Anyway, looking forward to a dramatization of "students talk to the cafeteria manager about the phoned-in banh mi", complete with ominous music and dramatic, harsh blue lighting.
Great news!!! I have another favorite writer who Ghosted also, and things are working out splendidly for her (and all of us who went with her!)!
I love this newsletter, and appreciate all you put into it. Thank you so much for everything!
how do i get to your publication on ghosted?
